Summer 1998
Billy and I had taken the girls to the Mississippi Coast. We were staying at one of the small hotels across the street from the beach. We were at the swimming pool with the girls. Billy had placed Kaylan on the pavement on the side of the pool so that he and I could trade off on holding Krissie. In the tiny moment that we were not watching Kaylan, she jumped into the pool. When I looked over, I saw a man standing there reaching into the water to grab hold of Kaylan. He just appeared out of nowhere. He handed Kaylan to me and walked away. We looked for him later, but he was nowhere to be found.
