Krissie and Kaylan and I decided we want to see for ourselves whether or not the Lafayette Hotel is really haunted. So we drive over to to the hotel and set out to see what we could. We received permission from the Front Desk Clerk to go to the floor that was claimed to be haunted. About halfway up the hall (going in the direction towards the river) Kris and I both received goosebumps and the creepiest feeling up and down our spines. As we continued further up the hall.. the feeling subsided. We looked out the window and admired the view of the rivers (the Ohio and Muskingham Rivers flow together right outside the Lafayette Hotel). After a few minutes, we head back to the elevators. About half way up the hall, we again felt those goosebumps and that creepy feeling. Looking around, we realized this was the same area as in the previous creepy feeling. A few doors closer to the elevator and one of the maids greets us in the hall. She allows us to go into the 'haunted room' and look around. It looks and feels like any other hotel room. We make our way back to the elevators and then leave the hotel.
